# Installing the Safari Extension

## What is the Keeping Safari Extension?

To use Keeping inside your Gmail account, you'll need to install the Keeping Sidebar (available for free in [**the Mac App Store**](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/keeping-for-safari/id1666996817)). Once installed, the Sidebar adds Keeping's features to your Gmail account.

### Find the Keeping Sidebar in the Mac App Store.

Go to [**the Mac App Store**](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/keeping-for-safari/id1666996817) to find the Keeping Sidebar.

Keeping is not compatible with mobile Safari on iPhone or iPad. Please use our [mobile portal](/help/fundamentals/mobile-and-web-access.md) to access your Keeping tickets from those devices.

### Click Get to install the extension.

Click "Get" to install the extension to Safari (or "Open" if you've already installed the extension).

### Refresh your browser tab

Go back to the Gmail account you used to sign up for Keeping, and refresh your Safari browser. &#x20;

### Give Keeping Permission to Access your Gmail

In order to integrate with Gmail, Keeping requires access to the webpage. Click on the Keeping logo and "**Always Allow on This Website**".
